CAE KU/Criteria & Scholarship for Service Workshops - February 14, 2019
This event will feature two workshops:
8:30 am - 3:00 pm 2020 CAE Workshop
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Scholarship for Service Workshop
Who should attend:
Faculty and administrators from institutions interested in the CAE or those institutions seeking CAE re-designation. Any institution across the U.S. may attend. Continental breakfast, beverages, and boxed lunch will be provided.
2020 CAE Workshop, 8:30am - 3:00pm
The 2020 CAE workshop will review the required two-part application process required for designation as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (CAE) in Cyber Defense.
Part 1: Program of Study Validation
Training on the process and materials needed to successfully validate your program of study before pursuing the CAE designation.
Part 2: CAE Designation
The second part of the training will review the required criteria and the necessary resources, capacity and processes needed to successfully earn the CAE designation.
Scholarship For Service (SFS) Workshop, 3:00pm - 5:00pm
The SFS workshop will provide an overview of the National Science Foundation Funded Scholarship for Service grant program that is now available to CAE designated community colleges. The program is designed to recruit and train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals to meet the needs of the cybersecurity mission for federal, state, local, and tribal governments.
Travel funding is available. Interested parties can apply at registration and will be contacted with further details.
