National Visiting Committee (NVC) Meeting

This year’s meeting will be an in-person meeting held 15 minutes from the Eastern New Mexico University - Ruidoso Branch Community College. This campus is located 1 hour outside of Roswell, NM and 3 hours outside of Albuquerque,NM.
Airfare
For those traveling in-person, you should have spoken with Trina Bol about flight arrangements. If you have not solidified your airfare, then please reach out to Trina Bol at tbol@whatcom.edu. Due to the location of the Eastern New Mexico University - Ruidoso Branch Community College there will be two groups, one flying into the Albuquerque International Sunport which is a 3 hour drive form the venue one group flying into the Roswell Industrial Air Center which is a 1 hour drive from the venue. * you will be notified who else in the group you will be meeting up for transportation to the venue.
Transportation
In an effort to minimize car rental expenses we are arranging transportation from both airports to the venue and back to the airports when you fly out.
Lodging
We have reserved a block of rooms for all our expected attendees at the Inn of the Gods Casino and Hotel. *Please note this is smoke free facility. All we need from you is to complete this registration to attend in person before February 15th and we will secure your hotel room and provide a confirmation number to you prior to the meeting.

We will be providing a detailed agenda with the meeting times and locations as we get closer to the date:
Tuesday, March 5, 2024
- Arrival at the Inn of the Gods Casino & Hotel
Dinner with other attendees at the Apache Tee restaurant (located in the casino) for those in attendance by dinner time.
Wednesday, March 6, 2024
- NVC Meeting from 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
Dinner with other attendees at Wendell's Steak and Seafood Restaurant (located in the casino)
Thursday, March 7, 2024:
- NVC Meeting from 7:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Mescalero Apache School - ENMU Ruidoso campus 1:00 pm - 4:15 pm
Friday, March 8, 2024: (Objective 1 Project/Activity Leads Meeting)
- 7:00 am - 12:00 pm at ENMU campus
Travel Reimbursement
- You will be reimbursed for the following expenses related to the required travel and meeting dates:
- Travel to and from your local airport, including taxi/shuttle or personal mileage and any tolls
- Parking fees at your local airport
- Round trip coach airfare and baggage fees
- Meals that are not otherwise provided for the group will be reimbursed in accordance with government per diem rates. ($13 breakfast, $15 lunch, $26 dinner)
- Three night stay at Inn of the Gods Casino & Hotel, checking in March 5.
- Please hang on to your receipts. After the meeting, you will need to submit all original receipts to NCyTE. Trina Bol will send you instructions.
